What is a SlideTube

The Authority Medical Group Slide Tube is a textile-based device used to transfer and reposition patients. The device is made from a proprietary fabric that minimizes friction that ultimately reduces risk and improves patient care and caregiver safety.

The name Slide Tube is a bit unoriginal but none the less self-explanatory. The Slide Tube device is a sewn tube of fabric that has a coefficient of friction less than ice on ice.

Unlike slide sheets (two sheets used in tandem), our Slide Tube is a single device. When placed under a patient, an Authority Medical Group Slide Tube can be used to perform three main moves, boosting, lateral transfer, and repositing of a patient.
