Lateral Transfer
1) Start with SlideTube Under Patient
Start with half the SlideTube under the patient’s spine and the other half on the second bed
2) Place Hands on the Long Bones
On the pushing side, place your hands on the femur and the humerus
3) Grab the Drawsheet
Using good body mechanics, grab the drawsheet from the pulling side.
4) Initiate Lateral Transfer
On the pulling side, make sure to secure the patient.
